Montessori Learning Guide

A highly skilled and compassionate Montessori learning guide is sought to lead a model classroom environment, delivering high-quality instruction and support to young children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Classroom Management: Establish a safe, inviting, and orderly environment, ensuring the well-being and engagement of all students.
  • Supervision: Provide constant supervision, maintaining teacher-to-child ratios as mandated by local authorities.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with assistant guides to develop and implement effective lesson plans, aligned with Montessori principles.
  • Lessons: Deliver sequential Montessori lessons, tailored to meet the unique needs and abilities of each child.
  • Observation: Regularly observe and document student progress, identifying areas of strength and need for targeted support.
  • Communication: Engage with children in a warm, respectful manner, fostering independence and confidence.
  • Feedback: Seek and apply constructive feedback from colleagues, mentors, and school leaders to enhance instructional practices.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with colleagues to address student challenges and provide comprehensive support.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Parent Communication: Maintain regular communication with parents, utilizing approved platforms to share updates and progress.
  • Progress Updates: Provide structured feedback on student progress through parent-teacher conferences, progress reports, and portfolio presentations.
  • Meetings: Meet with parents individually to address concerns and develop personalized developmental plans.
Contribute to a Vibrant School Community:
  • Staff Meetings: Attend and actively participate in staff meetings, mentoring sessions, and ongoing professional development opportunities.
  • Community Events: Support school events, including classroom celebrations, parent education sessions, and outreach activities.
Qualifications:
  • Language: Fluency in English or Mandarin.
  • Education: Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • Certification: Possess a MACTE-accredited Montessori Diploma (AMI or AMS preferred).
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years' experience working with children aged 2-6 years.
  • Passion: Deep passion for Montessori education and philosophy.
  • Mindset: A proactive, growth-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
