Singapore beBeeBioinformatician Full time $180,000 - $230,000
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated scientist to transform how assays are designed and developed for oncology, infectious disease, and beyond. Your work will accelerate the discovery and development of assays that advance basic research, drug discovery, diagnostics, and plant/animal health globally.

Responsibilities:
You will apply computational biology and AI/ML to automate and scale PCR-based assay design for real-time qPCR and digital PCR. You will also digitize and automate assay development by building end-to-end robust computational solutions and pipelines that replace manual processes with efficient, reproducible, and scalable workflows. Furthermore, you will drive continuous innovation of bioinformatics tools and pipelines by applying large language models and machine learning frameworks to biological data.

Qualifications:
MS degree with 2+ years of experience or PhD in bioinformatics, computational biology, computer science, or related field. Deep expertise in molecular biology and genomic-based assay technologies is required. Proficiency in building computational pipelines and workflow automation is necessary. Hands-on experience in applying AI/ML models, including LLMs, to biological data is essential. Additionally, proficiency in standard bioinformatics tools and modern ML frameworks is required. Strong communication skills are necessary to thrive as part of a global, interdisciplinary team. Passion for advancing the role of AI in biology to make a measurable impact on human health is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in cloud-based model deployment (AWS, GCP, or Azure) is desired. Background in infectious disease genomics (e.g., SARS-CoV-2, HIV, TB) is an asset. Familiarity with wet-lab workflows and collaboration with assay development teams is beneficial. Knowledge of assay readout analysis, performance evaluation, and statistical modeling of PCR data is advantageous.

Why Join Us?
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of scientists, engineers, and innovators across the globe. Contribute to a mission-driven organization where your work helps advance science and improve lives worldwide. Develop your career in a supportive, forward-looking environment that values both innovation and impact.
