Job Description

The Retail Executive plays a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient management of retail staff and adequate staffing levels. Key responsibilities include:

  • Recruit, train, develop and manage Retail crew to achieve business objectives.
  • Ensure all retail staff adhere to procedures and standards.
  • Provide support and guidance to staff to enhance their skills and career development opportunities.
  • Address performance issues and other shop-related concerns in a timely and effective manner.

Performance Expectations

The Retail Executive is responsible for driving sales growth, motivating staff to achieve this goal, and promoting a customer-centric approach within the retail business. Key performance indicators include:

  • Grow sales profit and motivate staff to achieve this same goal.
  • Oversee Retail crew work performance and implement strategies to improve efficiency.
Leadership and Management

The Retail Executive must demonstrate leadership through coaching and mentoring to staff, foster collaboration to build a cohesive organisational culture, and drive a culture that encourages productivity and innovation. Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop strategies to empower employees to deliver exceptional service, aligned with organisational procedures and requirements.
  • Manage warehouse stock delivery communication and drive a culture that promotes productivity and innovation.
Procedures and Administration

The Retail Executive is accountable for collecting information and statistical reports on shops' progress, or action planning as required, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of all aspects of administration. Key responsibilities include:

  • Follow policies and working practices in conjunction with management new directions.
Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate should possess a minimum Degree holder qualification and a minimum two (2) years of relevant retail/operations experience. Essential skills include:

  • Proficient computer literacy (MS Office).
  • Reasonable knowledge of service trends and training/development.
  • Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills at all levels of the company.

The Retail Executive must be able to examine the causes of performance deficiency and its impact on the organisation, manage team dynamics to identify and address performance deficiency, mentor the team, and provide leadership through coaching and mentoring to staff.

Physically, the role requires standing for extended periods of time and lifting objects on an ad-hoc basis.
