Scenic Artist

Job Description

The Scenic Artist will be responsible for creating and maintaining themed elements, props, and rockworks within Universal Studio Singapore.

This includes painting, texture matching, aging effects, staining, sponging, ragging, layering, washing, shadow & highlighting, granite & marble effect, stucco effect, wood graining, rockwork, faux wood, trompe l'oeil, stencil, mural, metallic, high performance spray paint, and other treatments and repair works.

The role requires the ability to work in a safe and orderly manner, ensuring all protection and housekeeping are carried out.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain themed elements, props, and rockworks
  • Perform day-to-day refurbishment of paintworks
  • Prepare and conduct works in a safe and orderly manner
Requirements

Education: Degree in Scenic Art, Fine Art, Sculpture, Theatre Production, or Graphic Design from a recognised art institute.

Experience: Relevant working experience in themed painting/plastering works, preferably in theme parks, FECs, Themed Resorts/Museums/Zoos/Theatres, decoration props/window display production houses.

Skills: Proficiency in various painting techniques and scenic treatments, artistic and creative skills, attention to detail, quality control, team collaboration, and flexibility.
