Job Title:

Construction Project Director

Overview:

The Construction Project Director will be responsible for leading and managing a team of professionals to deliver construction projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The role requires strong leadership, project management, and communication skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the construction phase, including endorsing contractual and tender documents, refining plans, establishing policies and procedures, and overseeing progress.
  • Lead project completion and closure, ensuring that all stakeholders' expectations are met, and commissioning and testing of components, equipment, and systems is completed.
  • Drive safety and sustainability initiatives, recommending improvements based on Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) accident and incident findings and trends.
  • Manage people and organisational functions, including talent recruitment, development, team performance, and financial inflow and outflow.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, evaluating benefits, trade-offs, and impact of new technologies, and validating risk management plans and risk controls.
Requirements:
  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in building construction management, Civil and/or Structural Engineering, building discipline or equivalent.
  • At least 20 years of experience in managing large ($100m+) fast-track, diverse building projects with at least 10 years of project management working experience at a corporate level.
  • Possess accreditation as a Construction Professional A-Star certified and knowledge of project management, preferably PMI-certified PMP.
