About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager, Deal Modeling to join our team at VISA WORLDWIDE PTE. LIMITED. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for optimizing deal outcomes by leveraging best practices and seeking creative win-win deal structures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deal Modeling: Responsible for optimizing deal outcomes by leveraging best practices and seeking creative win-win deal structures.
  • Financial Analysis: Contribute to developing and enhancing best practices around commercial structures, legal terms, and other deal assets (e.g., client proposals and pitch materials) that can be leveraged for future deals.
  • Process Improvement: Contribute to efficient, effective, and streamlined infrastructure and processes for managing deals across Sales teams, Product, Legal, CCM, Interchange, Pricing, Finance, Controllership, Rules, and Strategy & Operations Teams.
  • Pipeline Management: Manage the CMS deals pipeline.
  • Deal Process Improvement: Remove barriers and challenge the status quo for all deal processes; work with all regional and global partners to identify opportunities to improve deal outcomes and improve sales velocity.
  • Global Best Practices: Leverage global and other regional sales/deal team best practices and contribute to a global catalogue and community to ensure we stay consistently ahead of competition in all regions, applying a "rising tide lifts all boats" approach.
  • Strategic Decision-Making: Drive strategic decision-making processes for high-value deals, focusing on those with up to $10 million annual recurring revenue.
  • Pricing and Structuring Strategies: Use extensive deals experience and market insights to guide sales teams in determining optimal pricing and structuring strategies to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.
  • Deal Negotiation: Exercising significant influence within the organization through the development and implementation of effective deal strategies.
  • Deal Evaluation: Providing essential support in the negotiation and finalization of high-value deals by offering insights into deal pricing structures, market trends, and customer needs.
  • Risk Assessment: Evaluating potential deal opportunities and risks, making informed decisions that align with the company's financial objectives.
Requirements
  • Experience: 10 years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree; 8 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g., Masters/MBA/JD/MD) or a minimum of 6 years of work experience with a PhD.
  • Finance/FP&A Experience: 5 years minimum experience in Finance/FP&A, deal modeling.
  • Financial Modeling Skills: Financial modeling skills and advanced Excel skills are essential.
  • Soft Skills: Proactive, responsive, resilient, attentive to details, and thorough.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to translate business strategy into a financial plan, storyboard in PowerPoint, and present analysis and insight to stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to think longer-term coupled with fast execution of short-term priorities with a sense of urgency, assertiveness, and directness in identifying opportunities and proposing solutions.
  • Teamwork: Good at working in teams, especially when collaborating across different functions.
  • Personal Qualities: Curious, reflective, honest, and open; self-aware.
  • Commitment: Energetic and committed to improving Visa's service to its clients.
Preferred Qualifications
  • CIMA or ACCA Qualification: CIMA or ACCA qualification preferred – other recognized financial qualifications considered.
  • Sales/CRM Platforms: Sales/CRM platforms (Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce), BI, and dashboard visualization skills are desirable (Power BI, MicroStrategy, Tableau).
  • Leadership Experience: 5+ years of leadership with exposure to an innovative business, one that continues to reinvent their business proposition. Industry experience is open with a strong preference for fin/tech or technology. Multi-company experience is strongly preferred.
  • Global Experience: Global experience and positive reputation for working effectively across levels of an organization.
  • Operational and Strategic Programs: Demonstrated ability to operate strategically and have a hands-on approach.
  • Business Development, Finance, or Pricing Teams: Strong experience with high-performing business development, finance, or pricing teams.
  • Negotiation Experience: Strong negotiation experience, with demonstrated success.
  • Deals Experience: Experience on deals (ideally at Visa).
  • Relationship Building/Influencing: Demonstrate effective and appropriate influencing skills with senior management/partners, combining high-level human capital knowledge with deep organizational understanding. Build strong relationships with solid trust and mutual respect as the foundation. Leverage strong judgment skills to make decisions. Instinctively know when and how to introduce change, in such a way that it is broadly accepted and institutionalized.

  • Comparison Data Database: Constructing a comparison data database to compare price points across deals, facilitating scalable decision-making.
  • Deal Playbook: Crafting a comprehensive deal playbook for Visa and client terms and conditions, outlining standard items Visa offers and requires.
  • Integration of Acquired Entities: Integrating two acquired entities (VPL & Currencycloud), assessing their offerings, and determining the optimal proposal for clients. This process involved repeated assessments to ensure the best outcomes.
