We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Freight Coordinator to manage daily shipping operations for our manufacturing company. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating local and overseas shipments, preparing and checking shipping documents, and ensuring compliance with customs and export/import regulations.
This is a 5.5-day role with alternate Saturdays. The ideal candidate will have 12 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or administration, preferably in the manufacturing or chemical industry. Knowledge of import/export and dangerous goods shipping documentation is an advantage.
The selected individual will work closely with production and warehouse teams to ensure timely dispatch and maintain accurate shipment and inventory records. Proficiency in Excel and basic administrative tools is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and check shipping documents (invoice, DO, packing list, bill of lading, MSDS)
- Arrange and track local/overseas shipments (sea, air, courier)
- Liaise with freight forwarders, transporters, and customers
- Ensure compliance with customs, export/import, and DG requirements
- Work with production/warehouse teams for timely dispatch
- Maintain shipment and inventory records, update system (ERP/Excel)
Requirements:
- 12 years of shipping/logistics/admin experience (manufacturing/chemical preferred)
- Knowledge of import/export and DG shipping documentation is an advantage
- Proficient in Excel and basic admin tools
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask
