Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to lead our rail power team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the power and electrical services system, ensuring safety, reliability, and availability of services meet regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, implement, and maintain a cost-effective maintenance program that meets operational goals for power supply availability and reliability.
  • Develop and revise work instructions, participate in complex investigative tasks, identify root causes, and manage comprehensive repair works.
  • Manage non-executive staff, including participation in the selection process, handling disciplinary actions, conducting performance reviews, and involvement in staff training and development.
  • Liaise with external agencies on all matters pertaining to the power supply system and its equipment.
  • Prepare, evaluate, and oversee maintenance contracts, procure necessary tools, spares, and services, and ensure safe work conditions and access for main line and depot maintenance activities.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A degree or diploma in electrical engineering from a recognized university or polytechnic.
  • At least 5 years of practical experience in power distribution and electrical services, preferably in a rail transportation environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge, leadership abilities, and excellent communication skills.
