Job Description

A long-term contract opportunity exists for an NDT Technician to assist in performing non-destructive testing and BSI inspections on aircraft structures and components.

The successful candidate will work on a contract basis with the option of extension and potential conversion to a permanent role upon satisfactory performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • NDT Technicians assist in performing non-destructive testing (NDT) and BSI inspections on aircraft structures and components/parts/engines/APUs.
  • Certify inspections in the specified NDT method where applicable.
  • Maintain equipment, tools, and documentation to ensure compliance with airworthiness standards.
  • Exhibit high situational awareness and adhere to safety guidelines at all times.
  • Ensure inspection and test equipment calibration before use.
  • Regularly check chemical expiry dates and maintain relevant records.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Engineering Supervisor (NDT).

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have 1-2 years of Aerospace experience and hold NAS 410/EN 4179 Level I certification for FPI. Other FPI Level 1 certificates may be considered if proficiency can be demonstrated.

The candidate should also be able to perform rotating shifts, day and night, effectively utilize lifting devices, and possess an educational background in Aviation.
