Occupational Health and Safety Specialist

As a dedicated professional in workplace safety and health, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the well-being of employees and maintaining a safe working environment.

  • You will work closely with stakeholders to develop strategies for accident prevention, promote proactive work practices, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and overseeing workplace safety and health initiatives and programs.
  • You will monitor adherence to safety procedures and regulations by all onsite workers, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Led workplace WSH communications and effectively communicate with all organizational levels.
  • Proactively identify potential gaps/hazards and anticipate workplace safety and health issues. Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to discuss and implement preventive and corrective actions.
  • Organize and perform the duty of the secretary of safety committee meetings; conduct safety audits for management reports.
  • Conduct safety training and drills to maintain high safety awareness and emergency preparedness.
  • Conduct thorough incident investigations to identify root causes and implement effective measures to prevent future occurrences.
  • Lead and manage a team of safety personnel, fostering a culture of safety excellence and continuous improvement across all operations.
  • Maintain and uphold meticulous safety documentation to ensure compliance and facilitate effective safety management practices.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 Year(s) of working experience in building or civil construction industry, preferably with experience in HDB/LTA projects.
  • Degree in Engineering (Environmental, Health, Safety) or equivalent.
  • Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer.
  • Registered Environmental Control Officer.
  • Proficient understanding of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
  • Candidates should be energetic, self-driven, and possessing a results-driven attitude.
  • Possess strong technical skills, and outstanding interpersonal abilities to enhance team collaboration.
