As a Strategic HR Partner at Monks, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the operations and talent strategy to ensure we attract, nurture, and develop exceptional individuals who are dedicated to Monks and its ethos as we experience rapid growth. You will collaborate with our global HR team to enhance organizational efficiency, focusing on the development and retention of top-tier talent while promoting a diverse and inclusive workplace culture. This position demands a proactive leadership approach, requiring you to operate independently as a trusted advisor to the HR team, business units, and senior management. Aligning HR initiatives with business goals and ensuring seamless delivery is crucial.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with our global HR department to manage all HR functions, working alongside HR generalists and our regional People Hub to implement people-centric initiatives. Mentor and develop team members to provide exceptional support to our workforce. Work closely with the regional HR director to offer strategic insights and lead the HR team in executing best practices in benefits, compliance, employee relations, and compensation, aligned with our global standards. Engage with senior management to understand their needs and set priorities for the HR team. Foster collaboration across operating companies as we integrate and share resources with other HR teams.

Leadership and Employee Engagement

Collaborate with senior leaders to provide guidance, support, and coaching. Serve as the primary contact for senior leadership, acting as a trusted advisor at all organizational levels. Manage employee relations matters and investigations, offering support to HRBPs and managers in navigating complex situations. Ensure external legal counsel is consulted when necessary.

Organizational Effectiveness

Develop operational frameworks to enhance efficiency, agility, and collaboration. Ensure both strategic planning and tactical execution are integrated into all HR activities. Lead the establishment of comprehensive operational policies, ensuring staff training and compliance verification. Facilitate the review and enhancement of existing policies to meet the needs of a dynamic organization. Identify and implement process improvements to strengthen the delivery of HR programs, operations, and services that enhance the employee experience. Ensure compliance with employment laws and collaborate with HRBPs to communicate findings to leadership.

Company-wide Initiatives

Drive the implementation of People programs and projects as we continue to expand. Collaborate with teams such as DE&I, Talent Discovery, and People Operations to roll out various initiatives and projects across the region. Provide support for a range of special initiatives as directed by HR Leadership, with the scope varying based on organizational needs. Typically, these initiatives will be developed by Senior HRBPs and transitioned to appropriate team members for execution. When opportunities arise to enhance operational efficiency, improve employee experience, or increase organizational effectiveness, you will take the initiative and consult with team members.

Qualifications:

A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in an HR capacity or equivalent education and experience, including at least 2 years in a business partnering role. Proven experience in managing and mentoring junior employees. Demonstrated success as an HR Generalist or Business Partner supporting a workforce of 200+ employees. History of building effective relationships across all organizational levels and with diverse groups. An articulate leader with strong presentation and communication skills. Approachable and natural leader who inspires and motivates others. Skilled problem solver with a high level of initiative and personal accountability. Committed to the highest ethical standards, data integrity, established processes, documentation, and continuous learning. Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail and the ability to prioritize effectively. Thrives in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment. Empathy and high emotional intelligence are key success factors.
