Genetic Counsellor Job Description

The National Heart Centre Singapore is seeking a skilled professional to deliver comprehensive genetic counselling services for patients referred to the cardiovascular genetics service. This role involves managing patient intakes, analysing genetic variants, and providing clear guidance on hereditary cardiac conditions.

Working closely with our multidisciplinary medical team, you will handle referrals, contribute to research initiatives, and provide genetic education to healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical expertise, excellent communication skills, and maintain high standards of patient confidentiality and ethical practice.

Job Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Genetic Counselling or equivalent
  • At least 2 years' relevant clinical experience with demonstrated competency in genetic counselling
  • Demonstrated computer literacy with experience in MS office, databases, presentations and pedigree drawing software
