Job Title

Infrastructure Engineer (Hybrid IT)

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will have expertise in assessing and evaluating current virtual computing infrastructure, identifying areas for improvement, and recommending enhancements.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for drafting documentation, performing root cause analysis, and recommending possible solutions to complex problems.

They will also participate in requirements gathering and drafting runbook/work instructions for routine tasks, as well as assist in internal and external security audits, vulnerability assessments, and tracking vulnerabilities until closure.

In addition, the successful candidate will adhere to existing governance policies and processes to ensure non-compliance incidents are minimized, review recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and system resilience, and recommend implementation of automation tools and scripting to streamline routine tasks and improve operational efficiency.

Furthermore, they will review infrastructure patch updates, ensuring systems are up-to-date with the latest security patches, and assist in reviewing and maintaining documentation for system configurations, procedures, and infrastructure diagrams.

The successful candidate will also manage and track outstanding issues for resolution and closure with relevant stakeholders, manage records retention, document filing, and housekeeping for the Systems Process, and perform any other tasks assigned by the department.

Requirements:
  • Minimum Diploma holder, preferably in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • Preferably with some working experience and knowledge in Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Familiarity with government security requirements will be an advantage.
  • Strong customer experience mindset, listening, understanding, and responding to customer needs.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Possess a positive and agile working attitude.
  • Meticulous in tracking, tactful, and willing to learn.
  • Multi-tasking, able to work under pressure.
  • Team player with good written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
