About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented professional to join our Asia Pacific Alternatives Strategy team in Singapore.

As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for serving as a product expert internally and externally for PIMCO alternative strategies, including private credit funds, real estate funds, and hedge funds.

Your primary duties will include supporting product strategists in Asia Pacific business development and client service efforts, performing detailed portfolio research and quantitative analysis, and conducting industry and competitor research to support product development activities.

You will also be required to provide performance attribution analysis and write market and strategy commentary for investor reports, develop and maintain marketing and client reporting materials, and build internal relationships and partnerships with portfolio managers, account managers, account associates, and marketing, finance, legal, and compliance professionals.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Serve as product expert internally and externally for PIMCO alternative strategies, including private credit funds, real estate funds, and hedge funds.
  • Support product strategists in Asia Pacific business development and client service efforts.
  • Perform detailed portfolio research and quantitative analysis.
  • Conduct industry and competitor research to support product development activities.
  • Provide performance attribution analysis and write market and strategy commentary for investor reports.
  • Develop and maintain marketing and client reporting materials.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Prior knowledge of alternatives, including private credit, real estate, and hedge funds.
  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills, along with strong time management.
  • Effective communication skills, essential given the frequent level of internal and client contact.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and proficiency with Bloomberg.
  • A sharp focus on details, with an awareness of the bigger picture.
  • The ability to work on multiple concurrent projects in an organized fashion.
  • A university degree with a major in Business/Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or applied science.
  • CFA designation or active status in the CFA program is a plus.
