Logistics Operations Director

About the Role:

We seek an experienced and visionary Logistics Operations Director to oversee daily operations, drive efficiency, and ensure seamless coordination between facilities in Singapore and Malaysia.

This key leadership position requires a hands-on professional with extensive knowledge of woodworking processes and machinery, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to quality, safety, and compliance standards.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Supply Chain Management: Develop and implement strategic supply chain plans to enhance operational efficiency, minimize delays, and optimize inventory levels.
  • Production Scheduling: Plan, coordinate, and manage production schedules to meet delivery timelines, customer requirements, and production targets.
  • Team Leadership: Foster a high-performing team culture by providing guidance, training, and motivation to staff across both sites to achieve operational excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Inventory Control: Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels, procurement activities, and material flow to prevent stockouts, overstocking, and unnecessary costs.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement, enforce, and monitor quality control, safety, and compliance standards aligned with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Problem-Solving: Analyze operational challenges, identify process gaps, and develop innovative solutions to drive efficiency and productivity improvements.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare regular reports and provide insightful analysis on production performance, supply chain efficiency, cross-border coordination, and operational metrics.
Requirements:
  • Experience: At least 8 years of experience in furniture manufacturing or woodworking, preferably in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Skills: Proficiency in woodworking machinery and techniques, strong understanding of quality control, workplace safety, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Additional: Ability to read technical drawings and utilize basic computer tools.
