
Surgical Pathologist Opportunity in Singapore

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Surgical Pathologist to join our team in Singapore. As a key member of the Department of Laboratory Medicine, you will play a vital role in providing anatomical pathology services to our patients.
Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnostic reporting, intraoperative consults, validation and quality control of laboratory processes, leadership of the surgical pathology service, and other consultative services to staff of various clinical disciplines in the hospital.
They will also work closely with surgical pathology colleagues from two other hospitals to provide anatomical pathology services to the main hospital and potentially provide services to their other facilities.
Apart from the clinical duties stated above, administrative and educational duties would include serving on hospital and external committees in roles related to the specialty, and the teaching of different levels of staff, including medical undergraduates, resident physicians, surgical pathology trainee doctors (through the residency programme), and laboratory technical staff.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Candidates should be qualified and experienced with a medical degree suitable for registration with the Singapore Medical Council, as well as a specialist postgraduate qualification such as FRCPA, FRCPath with CCT from the UK, American Board Certification in Anatomic Pathology from the U.S, or Australasian Fellowship for accreditation as a Specialist Pathologist with the Singapore Specialists Accreditation Board.
Appointment will be based on relevant number of years of experience as a Surgical Pathologist.
