Global Payments Infrastructure Lead

Airwallex is seeking a skilled professional to lead the development of our global payments infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have experience in product management, go-to-market strategies, and platform product design.

About the Role

This role is responsible for taking ownership of Airwallex's money movement infrastructure roadmap, from strategy to delivery. The successful candidate will be able to communicate product strategy with conviction and deeply understand user requirements, target markets, and competitive landscapes.

The Global Treasury Payment Network (GTPN) product team requires a leader who can manage high-impact projects from ideation to launch. Responsibilities include:

  1. Developing and executing the company's money movement infrastructure roadmap.
  2. Communicating product strategy and prioritization to stakeholders.
  3. Leading a high-performing team of Product Managers.
  4. Collaborating with financial partnership, engineering, operations, and commercial teams to build scalable and reliable infrastructure.
  5. Providing subject matter expertise and guidance to other teams.
  6. Iterating quickly on new product launches, feature enhancements, and user feedback.
Requirements

We are looking for professionals who meet the minimum qualifications for this role.

  • Experience in product management, go-to-market strategies, and platform product design.
  • At least 2 years of formal people management experience.
  • Ability to consider both user requirements and commercial strategy to drive meaningful product growth.
  • Experience taking products from ideation to delivery at global scale.
  • Ability to manage difficult tradeoffs between long-term product vision and short-term growth requirements.
  • Ability to thrive in data-driven, cross-functional teams that can move ideas to reality in short periods.
  • Flexibility to work across multiple time zones.
  • Exceptional English communication skills with the ability to convey product strategy to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
