Migrant Worker Ambassador Coordinator

As a vital member of our team, you will play a key role in engaging and empowering migrant workers to become ambassadors for change.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and coordinate regular engagement activities for migrant worker volunteers, including educational workshops, skills training, social events, and outreach initiatives.
  • Recruit new migrant workers to join the ambassador program through outreach efforts at dormitories, events, and workplace visits.
  • Design and conduct training programs for volunteers to build leadership and peer engagement capabilities.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to enhance program support and reach.
  • Coordinate with partners to bring value-added services to MWC events and volunteer-led activities.
  • Maintain and update the volunteer database using Microsoft Excel to ensure accuracy in volunteer records and activity tracking.
  • Serve as a feedback channel for volunteers to raise concerns and suggestions, consolidating and escalating relevant feedback as necessary.
Requirements:
  • Degree in any discipline
  • Strong time management and problem-solving skills, with ability to work independently and collaboratively with professionalism and integrity
  • Passionate about advocacy work related to migrant workers, with a positive and professional attitude
  • Able to communicate effectively in written and spoken English, and proficient in at least one migrant worker language
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and supporting cross-functional organizational needs
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Willing and able to respond to urgent matters outside of regular working hours when necessary
  • Possession of a valid Class 3 driving license is an advantage
Work Environment:

This role is primarily based at Migrant Workers' Centre Recreation Centre at 51 Soon Lee Road. You will be part of a dynamic team that values collaboration, innovation, and excellence in all aspects of our work.
