Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Global Communications Specialist to join our team. This individual will be responsible for managing client relationships, developing and implementing effective communication strategies, and leading teams to achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Client Management:
    • Buildestablish and maintain strong relationships with clients
    • Manage all communication with the client, ensuring deadlines and service agreements are met
    • Work closely with clients and senior management to review account performance and identify opportunities for growth
    • Add value to new business pitches by providing support with coordination, content generation, and presentation preparation
    • Schedule, organize, and run regular client meetings and calls
  • Media Relations:
    • Understand and stay up-to-date on current events, positioning clients and products within the wider news narrative
    • Oversee all media relations activity on behalf of the client, maintaining key media contacts
    • Build, maintain, and develop productive relationships with journalists, bloggers, influencers, and analysts
    • Utilize networks to create and maximize client coverage, advising on long-term and short-term narratives
    • Maintain and promote a sound understanding of current affairs relevant to the industry and the wider news agenda
  • Content:
    • Oversee and provide content creation for campaigns and projects, including press releases, articles, blog entries, and other written materials
    • Draft and oversee the drafting of a broad range of written materials, ensuring a consistent level of high-quality content
    • Work with content experts to improve knowledge of techniques and writing styles across multiple channels and platforms
  • Team Working and Development:
    • Act as a respected line manager, working closely with team members to maximize strengths, improve weaknesses, and support career development
    • Line manage the account team, including coaching, supervision, assessment, and review of junior team members
    • Set team objectives on a daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis
    • Ensure the ongoing achievement of all deliverable client objectives
    • Monitor team activity levels against budget, increasing and decreasing individuals' allocation as necessary
  • Reporting and Analysis:
    • Ensure that all activity and results are reported back to the client, providing insight and analysis where possible
    • Communicate account performance internally to relevant stakeholders
    • Provide detailed reports to senior management or the Campaign Director on request
