Our team is seeking a highly skilled Automation Service Engineer to join our ranks. This individual will be responsible for performing calibration services on various equipment and systems, ensuring they are functioning within optimal parameters.

  • Calibration of portable/fixed gas detectors, pressure & temperature calibrators, UTIs, ACBs, VCBs, boiler level gauges, AUS unloaders, cargo pump separators, OWS, ODMEs, and hydraulic motors/pumps/v/v blocks/autuators.

In addition to calibration services, the successful candidate will also be responsible for performing annual inspections, maintenance, repairs, and load tests on cranes, as well as providing hatch cover services (Macgregor, TTS). They will also be tasked with overhauling hydraulic motors, pumps, v/v blocks, and autuators, as well as testing and repairing windlasses and mooring winches.

Other key responsibilities include servicing rescue boat engines, blast water treatment systems, plate heat exchangers, and boilers, as well as performing noise and vibration measurements. The Automation Service Engineer will also be responsible for providing engine overhaul services, remote control system/Pneumatic control system service, governor overhaul, oil mist detector system overhaul, MSB/ESB/ACB service, fire detection & alarm system, water mist system, level gauge/draft gauge system service, valve remote control system, boiler/incinerator automation service, 15 PPM calibration with certificate, telephone system, MGPS & ICCP, and more.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess a minimum diploma in electronic/electrical engineering or a relevant field, as well as a minimum 5 years of experience in vessel main engine automation systems or related fields. The ideal candidate will have proficiency in relevant engineering principles, hands-on experience with equipment or systems, and good knowledge of electrical systems.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential, as is the ability to work as a team player, be self-motivated, and work independently. A Class 3 driving license is also required.
