Key Responsibilities

As Associate Director, Sales Academia, you will be responsible for leading the sales efforts for the Academia and Public Sector team in our APAC market. Your primary goal will be to acquire new business and develop our client base across all company verticals, including governments, universities, libraries, and public institutions.

Key Requirements
  • 8-10 years of direct sales experience, preferably in market intelligence products and services or SaaS online solutions
  • Must-Have: Experience in outbound Academia or government sales, as well as acquiring new business in the Southeast Asia region
  • Experience mentoring a team (2-5 people)
  • Excellent command of English and an additional regional language beneficial
  • Competitive sales nature with a desire to win
  • Customer-centric mindset to understand how Statista can benefit our prospects
  • Experience driving sales negotiations with both influencers and decision makers
  • Ability to manage a high volume of activity
  • Desire to be part of a rapidly expanding business

Our Sales team is dedicated to making Statista the number one source of information for making fact-based decisions in both established and new markets.
