Pastry Team Member Job Description

This role is a vital part of the kitchen team, assisting senior leadership during service. The ideal candidate will have a diploma or higher qualification in pastry or related culinary disciplines and 3-5 years of relevant work experience in pastry within a high-standard restaurant or hotel environment.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Assist senior kitchen leaders to ensure quality, timing, and coordination of all dessert items.
  • Ensure presentation, flavor, texture, and portion control standards for all pastry items are upheld.
  • Use approved ingredients as directed by senior kitchen leaders to maintain consistency and quality.
  • Take ownership and responsibility for your station, ensuring cleanliness, readiness, and overall efficiency.
  • Communicate with the team to suggest improvements and address challenges in your section.
  • Maintain all items produced in your section meet the company's quality and presentation standards.
Requirements:
  • Diploma or higher qualification in Pastry, Bakery, or related culinary disciplines.
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience in pastry within a high-standard restaurant or hotel environment.
  • Strong teamwork skills with leadership potential and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • A positive, enthusiastic, and professional attitude with a passion for pastry arts.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays.
