Job Overview

Upskills, a leading provider of financial software consulting services, is seeking an experienced Murex Back Office Accounting Expert to join our team in the Asia Pacific region. With a strong focus on delivering smart and efficient solutions, we are looking for a highly motivated individual with a proven track record in business analysis and project implementation.

About the Role

We are seeking a talented professional with a minimum of 5 years' experience working in the financial industry on treasury products, with a strong understanding of Back Office & Accounting concepts related to FX Derivatives, IR Derivatives, EQ Derivatives, FX Cash, Fixed Income and Money market, and Commodities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing and managing business requirements, formulating solution designs, and modeling transactions through the system to ensure that business requirements are met. Additionally, they will work closely with different IT teams across infrastructure and other divisions to deliver system solutions for the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyzing and managing business requirements into a solution design
  • Formulating solution designs and modeling transactions through the system
  • Working closely with IT teams to deliver system solutions for the business
  • Capturing, specifying, and documenting business requirements for implementation
  • Collaborating with stakeholders on their priorities, needs, and system improvements
  • Building strong relationships and managing expectations with users and stakeholders
  • Coordinating and validating Back Office and Accounting stream testing and test cases during UATs

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience working in the financial industry on treasury products
  • A strong understanding of Back Office & Accounting concepts related to FX Derivatives, IR Derivatives, EQ Derivatives, FX Cash, Fixed Income and Money market, and Commodities
  • Effective team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to question and understand proposed solutions and business drivers
  • Proven stakeholder management skills in interactions with stakeholders across functions and seniority levels

Preferred Requirements

Prior experience working with MUREX (v3) on XVA/PFE Engine, Static Data – Counterparty, Bonds, Ratings, Accounting Rules/ Filters / EOD, Simple/Dynamic/Formula Accounts, Trade Booking, Datamart Reports would be an advantage.

Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per annum
