About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for washing and cutting of vegetables, cutting and marination of meat, learning to cook food (stir fry, deep fry, steaming), maintenance of all kitchen equipment, maintaining kitchen hygiene & cleanliness, managing kitchen staff, daily stock take and ordering, and checking of invoices and goods upon arrival.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure proper cleaning and sanitizing of kitchen equipment and utensils.
- Maintain a high level of personal hygiene and safety standards in the kitchen.
- Assist in receiving and storing incoming ingredients and supplies.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Perform daily inventory checks to maintain accurate records.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should possess strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You should also have basic knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen safety procedures. Additionally, you should be physically fit and able to stand for long periods.
