Editorial Project Manager Position

As a senior-level editorial project manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the editing process for manuscripts, ensuring they meet the highest standards of content, language, and house style. You will be responsible for handling all editorial responsibilities, including developmental editing, copy editing, proofreading, and copywriting across various digital and print formats.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Edit manuscripts to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Manage projects to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results.
  • Collaborate with authors, clients, freelancers, designers, illustrators, and partners to achieve project goals.
  • Develop and implement publishing programs, evaluate book ideas, and commission authors.
  • Work closely with sales and marketing, logistics and warehouse, finance departments to ensure a cohesive approach to publishing projects.
  • Carry out market research and surveys as needed.
  • Mentor and guide new editors and interns to develop their skills.
  • Network at industry conferences and events.


Requirements:
  • At least 3-5 years of editorial experience.
  • Degree in English Language, Mass Communications, Journalism, or Postgraduate Diploma in Education.
  • Strong organizational, initiative, and project management skills.
  • Able to work under tight deadlines and deliver high-quality results.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Prior experience in educational, children's, general, non-fiction publishing is advantageous.
