Electrical Services Management Position

\
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining the Power and Electrical Services System to ensure the safety, reliability, and availability of services meet all regulatory requirements.
  • They will also be responsible for planning and implementing a cost-effective and comprehensive maintenance program, achieving operational goals for power supply availability and reliability.
  • In addition, they will develop and regularly revise work instructions in accordance with approved documented procedures, regulations, manufacturer recommendations, industry best practices, and other relevant standards.
  • Participating in handling complex investigative tasks, identifying root causes, and managing comprehensive repair works is also an essential responsibility.
  • Managing non-executive staff, including participation in the selection process, handling disciplinary actions, conducting performance reviews, and involvement in staff training and development, is another key aspect of this role.
  • Liaising with external agencies on matters pertaining to the power supply system and its equipment is also required.
  • Preparing, evaluating, and overseeing maintenance contracts, inclusive of certifying outsourced maintenance contractors' work, invoices, purchase orders, and variation orders, is another critical task.
  • Ensuring safe work conditions and access for mainline and depot maintenance activities is also essential.
  • Participating in testing and commissioning of equipment, ensuring proper functionality and adherence to specifications, is another key responsibility.
  • Failure Review and Corrective Action implementation are also part of this role.
  • Formulating asset management plans, preparing associated budgets, and monitoring asset performance is another critical task.
  • Supervising project initiatives and modification tasks, including detailed planning, execution, and monitoring to ensure compliance to specifications and objectives, is another key aspect of this role.
  • Undertaking and managing tasks and projects assigned by the Head of Department is also essential.

Requirements

\
  • A Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized University or Polytechnic is required.
  • At least 5 years of practical experience in power distribution and electrical services, preferably in a rail transportation environment, is preferred.
