Marine Propulsion Specialist Job Description

Our organization is seeking a skilled Marine Propulsion Specialist to perform maintenance and repair of marine propulsion equipment. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing major OEM marine propulsion equipment. Additionally, you will generate field service reports with photos and commission new gearboxes through yard, basin, and sea trials.

You will interpret electrical drawings and perform basic troubleshooting of faults on electrical systems with minimal guidance. You will also assist in preparing parts quotations and conduct daily toolbox meetings to ensure compliance with workplace safety and health practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • At least 3 years of experience in the marine industry, specifically in propulsion
  • Able to perform troubleshooting on propulsion-related equipment with minimal guidance
  • Must be willing to travel overseas for assignments and deploy within short notice periods
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
