Job Title: Laboratory Technician

Our laboratory team is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join their ranks as a Laboratory Technician. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in analytical techniques and a passion for delivering high-quality results.

Responsibilities:

* Receive, collect and sort samples accurately and efficiently

* Conduct incoming, in-process and outgoing quality checks in a timely manner, adhering to all relevant protocols

* Document all test results accurately and report deviations promptly

* Investigate anomalies and implement corrective actions where necessary

* Maintain, calibrate, validate and troubleshoot laboratory equipment as required

* Participate in the inspection of installations and ensure compliance with all relevant standards

* Manage stocks and orders effectively, minimizing waste and optimizing resources

* Follow up on audit findings and implement recommendations

* Uphold laboratory standards and participate in laboratory improvement initiatives

* Engage in shift handover meetings and ensure seamless transitions

* Other duties as assigned by management

Skills & Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., chemistry, biotechnology)

* Strong background in analytical techniques and instrumentation

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team

* Proficiency in laboratory software and equipment
