**Location: Jurong Island**
**Basic salary: SGD2,300**
**Fixed site allowance: SGD250**
**Bonus: AWS + 2 - 3.5 months**
**Work hours: Monday - Friday 08:00 - 16:30 (lunch break 12:00-12:30)
**Job Overview:
We are a chemical analysis company located within a chemical plant in Jurong Island. We are looking for a laboratory technician who can assist us with the smooth and efficient running of the laboratory.
**Duties & Responsibilities**:
- Perform oxidation sampling and testing and report results to line manager/customer (core responsibility).
- Perform other analyses and calibration and maintenance of equipment, tools and reagents, when not performing
oxidation sampling and testing.
- Abide by and comply with all applicable company policies and rules including, but not limited to, those contained
in the Quality Manual, the Code of Ethics and SMAG Complex Rules and Regulations.
- To accept job assignments from SCASS Management from time to time.
- Liaise with the Plant Facilities and HSE (Health, Safety and Environment) departments and ensure the laboratory
complies with the plant safety rules and procedures.
- Arrange for repair and servicing of laboratory tools, fixtures and the laboratory van when necessary.
- Other general technician’s duties.
**Requirements**:
- Physical strength. Ability to work outdoors.
- Must follow strict safety protocols.
- Must have good interpersonal skills.
- Must be highly organised and able to multi-task.
- Must have a science background, preferably in chemistry.
- Need strong attention to detail.
- Previous experience in similar roles desirable but not essential.
- Driving licence is desirable.
