Principal HVAC Specialist

A Design Engineer is responsible for developing and implementing HVAC designs that meet client requirements. The role involves working closely with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure compatibility and compliance.
Responsibilities:- Develop detailed HVAC designs, selecting equipment, materials, and components to meet project specifications.
- Collaborate with architects and structural engineers to ensure design compatibility and technical compliance.
- Prepare specifications and documentation for construction, including detailed descriptions of systems, performance requirements, and testing procedures.
- Guide BIM modellers in creating BIM models of HVAC systems, meeting design specifications for visualization, clash detection, and coordination purposes.
- Review and approve shop drawings to ensure construction meets design requirements.
- Monitor installation of HVAC systems, ensuring correct installation and performance.
- Provide testing and commissioning compliance factors for HVAC systems, adjusting systems as needed for proper operation.
- Continuously learn new methodologies, adopt tools or technologies for innovative solutions, and stay up-to-date with industry developments.
- Education: Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Experience: Must have project experience in ACMV.
- Certifications: Safety certification, minimum Bizsafe Level 2. Training provided if not certified.
- Skills: Proficient in English, strong independence and leadership in teamwork environment. Knowledge in BIM an added advantage.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
