Job Title: Business Systems Specialist

The position of Business Systems Specialist involves collaboration with business and technical stakeholders to identify, document, and implement requirements for automation in Key Performance Indicator (KRI) reporting.

This specialist will be responsible for analysing existing manual reporting processes and identifying opportunities for process improvement, ensuring data integrity and consistency across systems.

A key aspect of this role is working with data engineers and developers to define data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) requirements. The Business Systems Specialist will also support the design and implementation of Power BI dashboards and visualisations, as well as review and recommend process enhancements to enable automation opportunities.

Key responsibilities include facilitating workshops and interviews to elicit information and clarify requirements, supporting user acceptance testing (UAT), and maintaining clear documentation of business processes, data mappings, and reporting logic.

An ideal candidate will have a minimum 5 years' experience as a Business Analyst in data-driven projects, excellent information gathering and stakeholder engagement skills, demonstrated ability in process improvement and business process re-engineering, effective communication skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and understanding of technology and cybersecurity principles.

Additonally, the successful candidate should have knowledge of data governance and data quality principles, experience working with source systems, data warehouses, and ETL processes, proficiency in SQL or other data querying tools, Power BI for data visualisation and dashboard development, familiarity with financial services or regulatory environments, and certification in Business Analysis is a plus.

This role requires a skilled professional who can communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, analyse complex data sets, and develop creative solutions to business problems.
