Job Responsibilities
The head of non-Core Banking delivery is a leadership role responsible for managing the delivery and on going changes to all non-core banking platforms for Mizuho Asia Pacific across different markets. This covers non-core banking applications around Compliance (Fraud Risk, Transaction Monitoring, KYC, CDD, Name Screening, Risk Calculations and Reg reporting), Integration platforms, CRM, etc.

Key Responsibilities:
Delivery Leadership
  • Develop and execute regional implementation roadmap for all non-core banking applications in line with the strategic agenda for Mizuho Asia Pacific
  • Lead technology solution design and product selection to ensure the technology stack robust, scalable and resilient
  • Develop and maintain efficient and effective communication channels with key stakeholders with head office, regional and country stakeholders
  • Identify and manage project dependencies, risks and issues across all regional projects with standardized communication plan and change management processes
  • Identify and implement standardization opportunities to simplify technology landscape across the region
  • Lead technology investment and prioritization agenda for the region
  • Successful delivery of all regional technology projects within the approved budget and timeline
  • Collaborate with Run the bank teams for incident and problem management

People Management
  • Build and manage highly skilled technology delivery team to execute critical regional projects
  • Provide leadership to cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and high performance

Vendor and Partner Management
  • Manage relationships with SI and software vendors, ensuring quality delivery and alignment with contractual obligations

Governance and Risk Management
  • Responsible for driving alignment to delivery governance and quality assurance policies and technology and architecture standards of Mizuho
  • Identify and manage project dependencies, risks and issues across all regional projects with standardized communication plan and change management processes

Innovation and Continuous Improvement
  • Drive innovation by introducing modern delivery practices
  • Continuously enhance platform performance, scalability, and customer experience
  • Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to future-proof the organization's application landscape
  • Drive standardization and best practices across markets within the region


Job Requirements
• Proven track record in delivering large scale multi country multi-vendor implementations for Compliance, CRM platforms etc.
• Experience operating in a regional/global capacity in a multi country model
• Excellent understanding and knowledge of the Applications in a banking estate
• Strategic thinking with a hands-on approach to problem-solving
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder and people management skills
• Understanding of regulatory frameworks in the Asia Pacific region relevant to applications
• Previous experience in effectively managing multiple relationships with customers and providers
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Technology/Engineering/or a related field (Master's preferred).
• 20+ years of relevant experience
