About the Department
The Credit and Risk Management function is comprised of three teams: Risk Management, Credit and Special Asset Management. We manage the risks arising from the Group's business activities within the risk appetite established by the Board. This involves identifying and evaluating the risks, developing effective risk governance and strategies as well as providing independent assessment of the overall risk profile
Job Responsibilities
- Partner closely with the NFRM stakeholder manager team and BU/SUs to provide subject matter expert guidance and advice on outsourcing and third-party non-outsourcing risk management matters.
- Review the BU/SU's due diligence and risk assessments on outsourcing and third-party non-outsourcing service providers, and highlight any key risk concerns for the appropriate action, reporting and monitoring.
- Co-lead in the development and maintenance of the Third-Party and Outsourcing Risk Management Framework, Policy, Procedures and Guidelines; and in the oversight of their implementation across the Group for consistency and effectiveness.
- Co-lead in the enhancement of the third-party and outsourcing risk management module in the Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) system and conduct periodic end user testing.
- Provide secretariat support to the Third-Party and Outsourcing Committee.
- Promote greater outsourcing and third-party non-outsourcing risk management awareness among the BU/SUs by developing third-party and outsourcing training materials and conducting training sessions and ad hoc briefings.
- Create and maintain proper documentation of all assigned work areas so as to facilitate easy knowledge transfer and sharing among team members.
- Prepare risk management reports for regulatory and/or management reporting.
- Lead or participate in ad-hoc projects as assigned from time to time.
- At least 15 years of Banking experience with 5 to 8 years of outsourcing or third-party non-outsourcing risk management, quality assurance or other risk control-related function experience in the banking industry.
- Self-starter, with initiative and strong self-drive to produce high quality work.
- Degree holder or its equivalent from a recognised tertiary institution.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to engage a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
- Team player and collaborator to achieve the agreed objectives.
- Highly flexible and adaptive to be able to manage varying exigencies at work.
- Strong analytical and creative problem solving skills.
- Familiarity with data analytics and visualisation would be an advantage.
