Roles & Responsibilities

As a key member of Mitsubishi UFJ Trust and Banking Corporation's risk management team, the ideal candidate will oversee the Organizational Risk Management processes to identify potential high-risk areas and provide recommendations to the management team.

Key Responsibilities:

1) Outsourcing Management

  • Review and maintain outsourcing and third-party management related documents to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Facilitate and coordinate outsourcing process and framework to ensure compliance with MAS Outsourcing Guidelines.
  • Support other departments in new and periodic third-party management reviews.

2) Business Continuity Management

  • Develop and maintain the BCM framework to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Control, facilitate, and consolidate BIA/BCP results from business units.
  • Plan, coordinate, and conduct BCP tests, including call tree exercises.

3) Organizational Risk Management, Operational Risk Management

  • Develop, review, and maintain risk management tools to perform required assessments.
  • Enhance the effectiveness of the existing Organizational Risk Management framework.
  • Control, facilitate, and consolidate Organizational Risk Register to report to senior management.
  • Provide key support to facilitate the completion of Residual Risk Assessment, working closely with business units to identify key risks and controls, evaluate inherent and residual risks, and establish mitigation plans as needed.
  • Identify and assess key operational risk areas and control gaps. Work with business units to mitigate risk and improve controls where necessary.

4) Branch Self-Audit (BSA), Control Self-Assessment (CSA), Branch Manual List

  • Manage Branch Self-Audit.
  • Manage Control Self-Assessment Framework/activities and report to Head Office.
  • Manage a process to ensure Policies, Practice Guides, and Procedures are reviewed and refreshed on a regular basis.

5) Environmental Risk Management (EnRM)

  • Develop and maintain a framework that appropriately manages environmental risks to meet expectations from regulators.

6) Others

  • Assist and support Head Office in all Organizational & Operational risk administration & projects deliverables.
  • Responsible for projects as and when assigned. Mentor junior staff.
  • Any other ad-hoc assignment as required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree holder.
  • At least 4 years of relevant experience in organizational/operational risk management in financial institutions.
  • Possess good communication skills required to engage stakeholders, escalate issues in a timely manner to management for direction and resolution.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Basic understanding of Financial Markets and Risk processes (from risk reporting to Post-approval monitoring).
  • Has good understanding of risk management process and implementing process controls. Experience in working/implementing such methods.
