We seek a dynamic Field Engineer to join our team and contribute to our mission of delivering cutting-edge solutions to our clients. As a Field Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of our operations, working directly with clients to install, maintain, and troubleshoot our innovative products and systems.

Key Responsibilities of the Role:

Business Development (BD) team assistance:

  • Providing client support and maintaining excellent client relationships with client contacts passed on from the BD team and client contacts gained on previous projects (especially site contacts),
  • Efficient and accurate preparation of job estimations, CTRs, and obtaining the engineering designs for the scope as required,
  • Liaising with client focal points for the scope to obtain all information and clarifications needed in the above,
  • Creating proposals based on the above-combined information within the required deadlines,
  • Responsively contacting client focal points as requested by the BD team to obtain additional information, follow up on proposals, etc.,
  • Consistent updates to all the relevant systems (CRM, Project Tracker, Pronto),
  • Maintaining project server and workspace (on Smartsheet) locations with up-to-date information.

Small Jobs Management:

  • Following the project delivery and execution processes to ensure a systematized delivery of small
  • jobs,
  • Responsive communication as the focal point of contact for the client about the particular job,
  • Efficient and accurate preparation of job estimations, CTRs and obtaining the engineering designs for the scope as required,
  • Creating proposals based on the above-combined information within the required deadlines,
  • Smooth and practical cooperation with other FUZE departments, such as Engineering & Technology, Business Development, Operations and Field Services,
  • Responsible for preparation and planning for job execution, supervising packing and mobilization (materials, equipment, and people) for the site, and running the 'Go-ahead' and 'Kick-off.'

  • Providing support to the site team and timely responses to the site-based client, being able to autonomously develop scopes and variations in real time to extend the value offering provided
  • Providing ongoing updates to the office-based management team on the job's progress and updates to all relevant systems (CRM, Project Tracker, Pronto),
  • Supervising the demobilization process and ensuring adherence to the processes,
  • Ensuring efficient and successful job closure, which includes, but is not limited to, a Debrief meeting, Invoicing, Lessons Learned compilation, IDR (Installation Design Report), filing of documentation, and updates to all relevant systems (CRM, Project Tracker, Pronto).

Big Jobs Involvement:

  • Assisting the Project Manager in all project-related duties to ensure smooth quoting, planning, mobilization, execution, and close out of the project.
  • Typical activities including by not limited to
  • During quoting phase: assistance with preparation of tender documentation, preparation of CTRs
  • and proposal,
  • During planning phase: assistance with preparation of schedules, project documentation, reports,
  • project specific tools for project tracking, etc. attendance of HAZID and meetings with client on
  • PM's request potential site visit if required attendance at 'Go-ahead' meeting,
  • During mobilisation phase: preparation of packing list, assistance with procurement as required,
  • monitoring of packing activities, equipment testing, combining shipping documentation and liaising with client on the shipping arrangements, attendance at 'Kick -off' meeting,
  • Attending site for the execution phase: supporting the project coordinator or supervisor in the leadership and management of the team, completion and project progress tracking and reporting, and ensuring all project spaces are maintained and regularly updated (i.a. CRM, Project
  • Tracker, Project Workspace),
  • During the closeout phase: monitoring the demobilization of equipment, preparation of IDR, assistance with all client based close out requests, a compilation of Lessons Learned, attendance
  • on the debriefing meeting.

Qualification:

Essential:

  • Qualifications:
  • Tertiary qualifications in STEM subjects
  • Skills:
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise duties appropriately
  • Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Good administrative processes and procedures
  • Highly developed relationship skills
  • Good teamwork skills
  • Experience:
  • More than 2 years of experience in Field Engineering or technical field execution
  • Experience with Oil & Gas or Mining industries
  • Leadership experience
  • Working within a small company, small team
  • Desirable:
  • Qualifications:
  • Bachelor in Mechanical, Chemical, Material, Structural Engineering, or related discipline
  • Tertiary qualifications in Project Management
