Role profile:

As Head of Country People Partnering, APAC, this role will provide HR leadership and expertise across 13 countries within the APAC region (excluding India and Sri Lanka) and may have direct accountability for one of those countries or Functional Business Partner responsibilities. This role will lead a team of Country People Partners (CPP), and will partner closely with our divisionally aligned Business People Partners (BPP), Centres of Excellence, and People Operations teams to design and lead on the execution of the Country Colleague Plan (CCP) across the country/region, aligned to our divisional / functional people plans.

This role will report into the Group Head of People, Data & Analytics and Country and will be a member of the Country People Partner leadership team.

Key Responsibilities

One LSEG in the Market
  • Enabling the end-to-end colleague experience and value proposition at a country level and ensuring LSEG is advancing as a leading organisation and employer of choice in the market.
  • Developing new ways of working to unlock enterprise value.
  • Harnessing strategies which create a diverse and inclusive culture and practices where colleagues are empowered to deliver their best performance every day.
  • Partnering with our CoEs and divisionally aligned Business People Partners to implement global solutions, balancing global consistency with local relevance.
  • Acting as a point of connection across the People functional teams within the country/region to foster a positive culture and engagement and serve as a point of integration for all activities.
Local change management and performance
  • Delivering functional / business change in the geography in line with LSEG values and policies, and local requirements.
Local Talent Planning
  • Building the talent pipeline in critical capability segments in the country / region aligned to divisional/functional needs to fuel business momentum.
  • Strengthening people leader capabilities through a country level development agenda focused on targeted skill development and learning aligned to divisional / functional people plans.
  • Influencing as a talent broker for local and cross-market talent moves.
  • Providing local insight and knowledge to support the Senior Leadership talent review process and succession planning.
Colleague Engagement & Advocacy
  • Developing and executing country engagement initiatives to foster a diverse and inclusive culture.
  • Representing the voice of the employee and the needs of the geography to HQ and the wider organisation.
  • Partnering with the Culture, Wellbeing and Inclusivity CoE to appropriately evolve and implement global initiatives to align with country norms and expectations.
  • Ensuring area/site compliance with HR policies, local workforce laws and regulations
  • Partnering with the local leadership team to proactively and reactively manage local crisis management / geo-political issues in line with Global policies, processes and procedures, ensuring alignment and clear communications with relevant groups.
Colleague Development
  • Identifying the collective development needs of the local teams through talent reviews, leadership insights and employee feedback.
  • Creating a development strategy for the broader employee base as well as specific plans for addressing the needs of the high potential talent (at Director level and below) using centrally created solutions.
  • Partnering with the global CoEs to ensure the global strategy, tools and initiatives are inclusive of geographic needs.
HR Operations
  • Partner with the People Operations team to effectively and efficiency deliver HR processes in a compliant manner.
Employee Relations
  • Partner with the Employee Relations CoE to ensure local ER matters are appropriately managed in line with organisational values, ensuring legal and regulatory compliance.
Skills and experience
  • Demonstrated experience of successfully operating as a senior HR leader in region
  • Extensive knowledge of evolving local employment legislation and labour compliance in country
  • Significant people management, leadership and stakeholder management experience
  • Ability to work collaboratively across a matrix organization in a global organisation
  • Strong influencing and communication skills, able to cascade complex messages in simple form, and ensure colleagues can see how what they do day to day supports the company strategic priorities and direction
  • Strong understanding of the local talent landscape, pipeline and labour market
  • Ability to think conceptually and strategically, and flex between the big picture view and the detailed execution
  • Ability to identify and mobilise resources to deliver services / solutions in country
