  • As the local Head of Life & Health business at SCOR, your primary responsibility is to develop and manage SCOR's long-term Life & Health business strategies in the India sub-continent. You will be in charge of building and nurturing client relationships, as well as ensuring profitable business growth with Life, P&C Companies (specifically Health and Accident class), and Mono-Line Health companies.Your key duties and responsibilities include designing and implementing strategies for the L&H business in India based on a deep understanding of SCOR, the competitive landscape, and overall market conditions in India. You will serve as the principal contact point for delivering SCOR's offerings to the local market, focusing on Product, Pricing, Underwriting, and Claims support for protection, Financial Solutions, and potential longevity solutions.Additionally, you will work towards increasing SCOR's influence and reputation in the Life & Health business sector in India. Your role will also involve closely monitoring the financial impact of new business generation and managing inforce actions to optimize local balance sheet utilization and capital efficiency.In terms of relationships, you will collaborate with proposition providers within the SCOR Group to identify business opportunities and nuances in the region. You will act as the interface between various companies in the market and the proposition providers within SCOR, establishing strong relationships with key stakeholders such as reinsurance buyers, underwriters, and business development teams. Furthermore, you will liaise with the Chief Executive Officer of SCOR's India Branch and stay abreast of regulatory and market developments in the Life, Health, and Accident space.As a member of the Executive Committees of SCOR SE India Branch and SCOR L&H APAC, you will contribute to strategic decision-making and ensure alignment with the overall business objectives.To excel in this role, you should have a minimum of 12 years of relevant working experience in the insurance/reinsurance sector in India, along with a Bachelor's degree. Ideally, you should also be a Fellow of an actuarial society (India, US, UK, Australian, or equivalent).Personal competencies that are essential for this position include being a self-starter with strong project management skills, excellent analytical abilities, and a team-oriented mindset focused on achieving results. You should demonstrate a flexible and proactive attitude towards career and skill development, with expertise in pricing, treaty management, team leadership, and navigating complex technical issues.Working at SCOR offers you the opportunity to collaborate with industry experts from various disciplines to address critical challenges and contribute to societal welfare and resilience worldwide.
