[What the role is]

LEGAL COUNSEL, VEHICLES (REGULATION AND LICENSING)

[What you will be working on]

The Legal, Vehicles (Regulation and Licensing) Division (LV(R&L)) provides legal services to various LTA divisions on emerging land transport matters including regulation and development of autonomous vehicles, next-generation road pricing, active mobility, and point-to-point passenger transport services.

As a member of the Division, you will work on land transport matters of national and public interest, delivering creative and workable solutions. You will collaborate with LTA's policy and operations divisions to provide legal advice on regulatory and licensing issues related to policies being formulated. You will need to be forward-thinking to anticipate legal implications of emerging technologies, research, prepare legal advice, draft contracts, and advise on contractual risks and obligations.

[What we are looking for]

  • Tertiary qualification in Law
  • Qualified Person under the Legal Profession Act or called to the Singapore Bar
  • Pro-active, solution and service-oriented mindset
  • Positive attitude, self-motivated, willing to learn, collaborative, and a team player
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Good communication, drafting, and interpersonal skills
