We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented insurance professional to join our team, overseeing the management of insurance and claims within our captive insurance portfolio. This role is instrumental in supporting the implementation of group-wide risk management solutions and ensuring effective collaboration with internal stakeholders and external brokers.

Responsibilities
  • Manage insurance and claims activities for the captive insurance portfolio.
  • Support Group Insurance/Risk Managers in implementing group risk management strategies within the captive.
  • Coordinate with brokers on the annual renewal programme, ensuring timely finalization of renewal and policy documentation.
  • Prepare and issue policy documentation, invoices, and closing statements as required.
  • Verify that all premiums are accurately recorded and paid by the due date.
  • Ensure all claims are in accordance with the policy terms and conditions.
  • Collaborate with adjusters, legal counsel, or appointed claims managers throughout the claims handling process.
  • Liaise with the servicing team on premium collections, claims reserves, and provisions in line with established loss reserving and accounting policies.
  • Provide monthly reports to Finance Managers in accordance with their reporting requirements.
  • Report on insurance and claims matters to the Board of Directors, Underwriting and Claims Committees, and Group Insurance/Risk Managers, and address related inquiries.
  • Support various ad hoc assignments and ensure all tasks are completed promptly and in compliance with agreed guidelines.
  • Deliver all services in a timely and professional manner.
Requirement
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in the insurance or broking industry; prior experience in the captive insurance sector is strongly preferred.
  • Possession of professional insurance qualifications such as ACII or ANZIIF is highly desirable.
  • Proficient in both English and Mandarin, with strong written and verbal communication skills to liaise with Mandarin-speaking counterparts.
  • Strong multitasking and time management skills, with a proactive attitude and sense of ownership.
