Roles & Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership in metallurgy and materials engineering, including analytical techniques, testing methodologies, and problem-solving approaches.
  • Develop and enhance testing capabilities to meet customer requirements.
  • Lead high-volume testing operations with rapid turnaround times, supporting engineers and technicians to deliver compliant and accurate results.
  • Act as a technical liaison during ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation processes, customer audits, and proficiency testing.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance lab efficiency, workflow effectiveness, and service quality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide technical consultation, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure engineering integrity.
  • Support training and mentorship of junior engineers and technicians to build internal technical capabilities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Materials Science or Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in metallurgical evaluation, mechanical/materials testing, and welding-related applications.
  • Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025.
  • Strong technical foundation in materials engineering and analytical testing techniques.
  • Proven expertise in hands-on engineering activities and analytical methods.
  • Strong knowledge of ASME, AWS, ASTM, and ISO standards related to materials and welding is an added advantage.
