Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Metallurgist to join our team. As a Metallurgist, you will be responsible for the cutting, preparation and assessment of metallographic specimens.

You will also be required to prepare etchants and etch metallographic specimens, ensuring that all equipment is maintained and calibrated properly. Additionally, you will conduct regular monitoring of equipment to ensure optimal performance.

A key aspect of this role is laboratory housekeeping, ensuring that the workspace is clean and organized at all times. You may also be required to work rotating shifts, depending on the needs of the business.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Diploma/Degree in Material Science or a related field
  • Experience in the aerospace industry is desirable
