Roles & Responsibilities

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES


•Performs functions at a high level of skill and proficiency.


•Optimizes system operation and resource utilization, and performs system capacity analysis and planning.


•Updates firmware and required device profiles installed / deployed to Zero Client devices.


•Maintains fully patched/updated/mitigated Operating System image for testing and production, and provides assistance to customers with operations of Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) systems.


•Collaborates with other Systems Administrators with troubleshooting and resolving issues that negatively affect the customer's virtual computing environment.


•Works directly with VMware VCenter Server/ESXi Hosts and VMWare Horizon View Administrator and maintains the virtual client pools, and virtual machines for maximum efficiency and monitors the virtual and physical network to ensure system availability.


•Updates/remediates patching of ESXi host devices.


•Compiles the VDI Operating System image for testing and deployment to the user production environment.

Skills:

3-5 years experince in VDI managed services, Windows/Linux OS, remote desktop services, storage management, DR testing/planning, network circuit management, load balancer configuration.
