Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Infrastructure Virtualization Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of virtualization platforms, including AIX PowerVM, Oracle/RedHat KVM, and VMware. He/she will be responsible for managing the full deployment lifecycle of virtualization platforms, from planning to production cutover.

The successful candidate will ensure proper handover from project to operations and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project goals and resolve issues promptly. He/she will also submit and manage change requests and infrastructure requisitions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage virtualization platforms, including AIX PowerVM, Oracle/RedHat KVM, and VMware
  • Ensure proper handover from project to operations
  • Collaborate with Solution Engineers, Application teams, and vendors to meet project goals
  • Submit and manage change requests and infrastructure requisitions

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge in virtualization platforms, including AIX PowerVM, Oracle/RedHat KVM, and VMware
  • Good understanding of end-to-end IT infrastructure, including data centers, network, storage, SAN, server hardware, OS, middleware, and databases
  • Experience supporting critical application systems is an advantage
  • Team player with the ability to learn and adapt to new virtualization technologies
