Manager, Test and Optical Assembly

Responsibilities:
- Manage the evaluation, recommendation, and implementation of testing procedures and strategies for the latest NPI products.
- Perform electro-optical tests to characterize active optoelectronic devices and photonic integrated circuits.
- Collaborate with R*D team to define optical test requirements and specifications for new products.
- Work closely with other teams/departments on both in-house and outsourced partners.
- Identifies opportunities in the test group to improve test capabilities and procedures to increase efficiency.
- Provides testing and optical assembly forecasts and identifies lab needs.
- Generate test reports with measurement results and detailed analyses in a timely manner.
- Contribute actively to the build-up of test and characterization capabilities of the production sites,
- including the maintenance of test set-ups and jigs and calibration of the measurementinstrume ntation, as well as software control and automation of the set-ups.
- Leads and controls the test of new and recurring products
- Any other duties as and when assigned by your superiors.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience with component NPI testing and optical assembly evaluation.
- Graduate degree in electrical engineering, or a related field.
- Ability to analyze measurement data to extract key device performance features.
- Experience with programming for test automation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinking and strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills
- Leadership, team building, and mentoring skills
- Hands-on experience with coherent communication systems and optical testing is preferred.
