Optical Assembly Engineer

We are seeking a skilled engineer to join our team and drive the development of high-performance optical assembly processes.

The successful candidate will be responsible for mentoring and developing a team to achieve exceptional results, while leading critical projects to ensure successful delivery within established targets.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Mentor and develop the team to achieve high performance and continuous improvement in laser/fiber assembly processes.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Plan and manage projects to meet budgetary and schedule targets.
  • Oversee task planning, prioritize critical activities, and ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Implement engineering controls and training to achieve a zero-incident safety culture.
  • Own the product lifecycle, including RFQ management in collaboration with Sales, Marketing, and Operations.
  • Ensure timely closure of RFQs by tracking and reporting Turnaround Time (TAT).
  • Lead and ensure successful execution of Factory Acceptance Test (FAT), First Lot Production (FLP), and First Article Inspection (FAI) to meet customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with Design Engineering to develop manufacturable and high-quality product designs.
  • Drive Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles to maximize product quality and yield.
  • Lead testing strategy, process development, and design reviews for new products.
  • Prepare and document processes for production.
