Purpose & Scope:

• To manage Water & Wastewater treatment plant operation in meeting performance targets of reliability and availability complying fully with SOPs, GHSSE and all relevant regulatory requirements
• Liaise with the customer working team to ensure off-spec influent is managed effectively.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

• In charge of the Water & Wastewater treatment plant by monitoring process parameters, managing plant logistics and working with maintenance to ensure plant equipment is maintained to assure reliability.
• Water & Wastewater treatment plant optimization.
• Ensure effective performance of the plant and report to stakeholders.
• Review and implement SOPs, shift reports.
• Monitor plant operating performance.
• Work closely with Operation, Maintenance and HSSE to ensure compliance; timely review & inspection of process regulatory and safety equipment.
• Support other plant operation troubleshooting and commissioning as requested by Plant Manager.
• Support Plant Manager in developing and implementing Agreed Operating Procedure (AOP) for customers.
• Successful candidate shall be appointed as part of the Company Emergency Response Team (CERT), training will be provided.

Major Challenges:

• No off-spec discharge to the watercourse.
• Maintain smooth plant operation, monitoring and troubleshooting on biological (anaerobic/aerobic/MBR process).
• Troubleshooting on MF, RO and Mixed-Bed processes.
• Achieve Plant Reliability and Availability targets (KPI).
• Compliance of SOPs by technicians and work closely with Operation Manager.
• Maintain of HSSE regulatory and compliance performance.
• Altering plant process parameters / chemical dosing after consultation with Operation Manager and Performance Excellence Team.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Degree in Chemical engineering / Environmental engineering (preferred).
• Minimum 2 years operation experience in Water / Wastewater treatment plant.

Preferred Skills & Characteristics:

• Organized and detail-oriented.
• Good team player and able to deliver results within tight deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
• Proactive in keeping up with new technologies and looking for solutions to optimize plant operations.
• Independent with initiatives, resourceful and positive attitude.
• Possess good leadership skills.
• Willing to travel to support water operations within Singapore.
