Koh Bus Transport Service is expanding our cross-border Singapore–Malaysia bus service. We are seeking an experienced professional with proven industry knowledge and strong networks in the cross-border passenger transport sector to help us build, launch, and grow this line of service.

The ideal candidate will not only oversee daily operations but also play a key role in developing new routes, securing partnerships, and driving business growth in this segment. This role remains multi-faceted, involving customer service, transport coordination, route planning, and operational deployment — but now with a strong focus on business development in the cross-border market.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Leverage existing industry contacts and networks to secure partnerships, contracts, and new customer segments for our Singapore–Malaysia routes.
  2. Identify, plan, and develop new cross-border routes in compliance with relevant regulations.
  3. Receive route orders and plan onboarding procedures for passengers.
  4. Coordinate with customers, partners, and other stakeholders on their queries and onboarding process.
  5. Match suitable drivers to routes, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with cross-border requirements.
  6. Assist in training and ensuring service quality is upheld.
  7. Handle feedback, queries, and complaints constructively.
  8. Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to inform service improvements.
  9. Other duties as required to fulfil the position's objectives.

Requirements & Attributes:

  1. Proven experience in cross-border passenger transport operations (Singapore–Malaysia).
  2. Strong network of industry contacts (e.g. coach operators, travel agencies, ticketing platforms, regulatory authorities).
  3. Strong spoken and written communication skills; patient and confident in dealing with people from all walks of life.
  4. Meticulous, able to multi-task, and focused on coordinating tasks to meet customer expectations.
  5. Strong team player with leadership abilities.
  6. Proficient in IT systems, able to train drivers in using technology for operational efficiency.
  7. Good knowledge of road directions and customs/immigration processes.
  8. Able to create visuals and proposals for internal and external presentations.
  9. Adaptable, comfortable working under pressure, and results-oriented.
  10. Cheerful, motivated, and willing to take initiative.
