DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITY

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Social Work leader to join our team as a Programme Manager to lead a team of social service professionals to serve our clients in the throughcare subsector. You will lead the team in casework management, intervention planning and service delivery, and provide strategic direction for the programme. You will also provide thought leadership to adapt and continuously improve the programme's service delivery model to meet changing needs of our clients and to address sector developments. You should be a people leader, conscientious, service-oriented and passionate about making a difference to support children from vulnerable backgrounds and to help them develop their full potential. Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide strategic direction for the programme, ensuring programme objectives are aligned with the organisation's overall mission and strategic priorities. This includes shaping programme design, setting goals and measuring outcomes, identifying opportunities for growth or improvement, and guiding the team to deliver sustainable impact.
  2. Provide coaching and guidance to the team in casework management and delivering our holistic mentoring and educational intervention plans.
  3. Perform casework management for complex issues and conduct home visits with the team, as needed.
  4. Ensure service standards are maintained through programme supervision, strong operational framework and monitoring of programme outputs and outcomes.
  5. Develop and build stakeholder relationships in the throughcare sector to deepen our outreach work
  6. Spearhead and develop new partnerships to support the service delivery for the programme, including engagement with volunteers, corporate partners, donors and community partners.
  7. Oversee budgeting, financial planning and control of the programme including funding applications and co-supporting fund-raising efforts and work closely with the corporate function teams to ensure smooth organisational processes.

Requirements – Experience & Competencies

  • Degree in Social Work (or other relevant degrees) with proven track record and experience in the social service sector
  • Minimum working experience of 10 years in social work, with at least 5 years in supervisory/ management capacity
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong people management and team leadership skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to meet programme needs.
  • A good team player, and able to work independently with good problem-solving skills, with an ability to multi-task across a variety of tasks, projects and responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards governing social work practice.
