Autodesk is seeking ahighly motivated, experienced Senior Engineering Manager to joinour Autodesk IAM Platform team. The Autodesk IAM platform iscentral to ensuring secure, seamless, and scalable accessmanagement across our suite of 150+ Autodesk desktop, mobile, webapplications, and smart devices. This platform plays a criticalrole in managing authentication, authorization, user profiles, andentitlements, serving millions of customers daily and empowering agrowing ecosystem of third-party developers and smartdevices.

As a Senior Manager of SoftwareEngineering, you will lead and oversee multiple teams of engineersdedicated to advancing our IAM platform. You will be responsiblefor the strategic direction, technical excellence, and delivery ofinnovative, secure, and robust IAM solutions. The platform you willhelp build needs to be highly resilient and available, ensuringthat Autodesk's services are reliable and performant at all times,even under the most demanding conditions.

Theideal candidate has extensive experience leading large teams in thedevelopment of modern cloud-based services, particularly in afast-paced, agile environment. You should have a strongunderstanding of cloud security and be adept at driving thetechnical vision and strategy for identityservices.

Your leadership will be critical inensuring that Autodesk's IAM services remain cutting-edge,resilient, and capable of supporting the evolving needs of ourglobal customer base. You excel in mentoring engineering leaders,fostering a culture of innovation and security, and ensuring thesuccessful delivery of complex, scalable IAMsolutions.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of software engineers to ensure execution andunlock creativity
  • Develop staff by coaching,facilitating career aspirations and providing growthopportunities
  • Regularly communicate with teammembers, provide feedback, conduct performanceevaluation
  • Build collaborative partnershipswith the Software Architects, Technical leads, Product Owners,Product Managers and Experience Designers
  • Create an inspiring team environment with an opencommunication culture. Foster continuous improvement anditeration
  • Provide insight, feedback, andrecommendations to senior management regarding the development,capabilities, and potential of current and future softwareprojects
  • Provide leadership to achieve highstandards of "done" in areas of quality, security, scalability,user experience
  • Aid in designing and buildingsolutions, frameworks, automation, and orchestration for a broadrange of applications and infrastructures, including cloud servicesand desktop solutions
  • Collaborate with ageographically dispersed team and stakeholders
  • Take complete ownership of the initiative and deliver itend to end while working with variousstakeholders
MinimumQualifications
  • BS/MSin engineering, computer science, or equivalent industryexperience
  • 15+ years of relevant industryexperience, with 7+ years of hands-on technical leadership and 7+years of experience managing development teams
  • Previously managed teams of engineers with ownership ofhigh scale, production systems
  • Experienced inone or more of the tech stacks and tools that includes AWS, Golang,C#, Python, Java etc
  • Experienced in creatingtelemetry for the service using Splunk, New Relic, Datadog or theirequivalents
  • Skilled in big picture thinkingand a willingness to learn and dive into unfamiliar systems andresolve complex and ambiguous issues both from a business andtechnical perspective
  • Experience working infast-paced, agile development environments, with a focus oniterative improvement and flexibility
  • Provenability to define and drive the technical vision and strategicdirection for complex platforms
  • Proven trackrecord of leading large engineering teams with a focus oncloud-based services
  • Experience in drivingtechnical excellence and continuous improvement, ensuring thedelivery of high-quality, scalable solutions
  • Solid understanding of software development lifecycle,principles, practices, and methodologies
  • Haveinsights about common engineering practice challenges and hadexperience of leading team to fix/improve them
  • Willingness to collaborate with colleagues acrossdifferent time zones which may require limited work outside normalworking hours
