Position Title: SHE Executive (1-Year Contract)

Location: Sebarok (Transport provided at Pasir Panjang)

Reporting To: Terminal SHE Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a committed and proactive SHE Executive on a 1-year contract to support health, safety, and environmental (SHE) functions during project and maintenance activities at our terminal. This role plays a vital part in ensuring a safe and compliant workplace for all stakeholders on-site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor contractor SHE performance continuously during project execution.
  • Review SHE-related documentation including safety plans, risk assessments, and certifications.
  • Conduct daily site inspections and ensure strict compliance with permit conditions.
  • Communicate SHE objectives clearly to all personnel and ensure they are upheld throughout the project.
  • Identify and report unsafe acts, conditions, near-misses, and incidents.
  • Assist the SHE Manager and team in implementing corrective and preventive actions.
  • Enforce and monitor Permit to Work (PTW) system and ensure relevant PTW training is conducted.
  • Track and report SHE statistics to key stakeholders regularly.
  • Execute emergency response drills such as working-at-height, confined space rescue, and others.
  • Conduct contractor audits as part of pre-qualification assessments.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Meet yearly SHE plan targets (Project & Terminal-wide)
  • Ensure zero non-compliance with government SHE regulations
  • Maintain high contractor SHE awareness through structured engagement programs
  • Prevent equipment-related failures during project period
  • Successfully execute SHE programs such as Go & See, Trust & Verify, toolbox meetings, etc.

Decision-Making Authority

  • Routine and non-routine risk assessments and incident root cause analysis
  • Emergency response decision-making and stop-work authority for unsafe conditions
  • Prioritize SHE-related activities based on severity and risk

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree preferred in a relevant discipline
  • 3 to 5 years' experience in a construction or terminal SHE role
  • Must have completed WSQ Advanced Certificate in WSH (Level B); Level C preferred

Certifications (preferred):

  • Work-at-Height Supervisor/Assessor
  • Supervise Work in Confined Space
  • Supervise Construction Work in WSH
  • Supervise WSH in Process Plant

Employment Terms

  • Contract Duration: 1 Year (Renewable based on performance and business needs)
  • Completion Bonus: 1-month salary upon successful completion of contract
  • Working Hours: Mon to Fri 830am to 5:30pm
  • Location: Pasir Panjang (Company transport provided)
  • Annual Leave: 14 days
  • Medical Leave: As per MOM regulations
